Using ABA Therapy To Teach Social Skills Within Peer Social Groups
Helping our neurodivergent clients have meaningful social relationships drives our social group programs.
Our trained ABA therapists encourage and support each child’s social development toward their target goals. Utilizing communication, play and social interaction in a fun and upbeat environment, our programs have an enduring effect on neurodivergent kid’s lives.
Peer Social Skills Group Activities
Our peer social groups may incorporate the following activities based on the requirements of the children in the group:
1) Eye contact and body language training
2) Reciprocal conversations
3) Negotiation and problem solving
4) Leisure play
5) Turn taking games to improve listening and conversational skills
6) Sportsmanship development
7) Flexibility and group cooperation
8) Reading body language and responding to peer emotions
